I had no idea what the driver was saying to me. If he would have pointed at the sign I would have figured it out. It seems I cheated the Wonju bus system out of 150 won.
They have raised the bus fare to 1100 won. -Jeff |

Whereabouts are you in Wonju? I've been there once to visit friends. Small place that city. |

ahhh...wonju. thy k'land hometown. i'm sure it's changed a lot since i lived there...in my time, the watering holes of choice were post-docks and crash. the only foreign restaurants were kfc and mcD (in emart). hope you're working at yonsei... |

I live in the middle of nowhere and make a day trip to Wonju every once in awhile to get stuff at Emart.
I heard they have a Subway sandwich shop in Wonju but I haven't found it and if the prices are like the one I found in Seoul then I'm not interested.

There's pizza hut, dominoes and I heard there is a Subway somewhere. I eat at Craze Burger when I'm in Seoul. They are expensive but they say they are 100% beef and they taste like it. I think burgerking cuts their meat with pork. Now if they would put a Craze Burger in Wonju that would be cool. |

So wait - you're willing to pay the ridiculous prices for a small burger at Kraze Burger, then moan and gripe about the prices at Subway? |

Depending on what kind of burger you are looking for...
Three Alley's Pub in Itaewon has a good burger
As does TGIF
and some like Smokey Joe's in Itaewon
All are around 10 scooby bucks and well worth it..to me all three are much better than craze burger |

Actually, there are 2 Subway joints in town. Near Lotte Cinema and another between A and B streets. I almost fell off my motorcycle when I passed by a Popeye's chicken in the small streets/alleys of Wonju last weekend. It's pretty much tucked away and hidden right in the middle of Wonju. |
