Korean Melons!
Must be one of the blandest fruits I have ever tasted. I'm always happy after the season is over. |

That's just what I was thinking after seeing pick-up trucks (or whatever you call those blue things with the big open box behind the cab) full of them all over town yesterday. Soon bagloads will be arriving in the staff room for the female teachers to slice up and I'll get disturbed from whatever I'm doing to come have some bland melon filled with barely edible seeds. Last year on a staff hiking trip I was given a plastic bag with some goodies that included a melon. I threw it in the bottom of my backpack and forgot about it. Two weeks later I located the source of a bad smell in my house and found the bottom of my backpack filled will rotten melony goop.
If you ever get the chance to take Koreans abroad give them some cantelope (sp?) and honeydew melon. They'll be amazed. |

1) It's all about the texture - they're awesome. So refreshing.
2) Why can't you wait for the season to be over? Just don't eat them.
3) Other types of melon are freely available here. |

1. No, you're wrong. They're about as refreshing as a rice cake
2. It won't be over soon enough and why just wait when you can easily come onto Dave's, post about it, and find some sane people who agree with ya.
3. Currently, cantaloupes cost about 10,000 won. They'll be cheaper and "readily available" in the Fall.
All in all, I'd say your post sucks. |
