I've got Creative as well.. huh.. can't tell you the model, though..

I would imagine they're all pretty much the same.. mrs squirrel gets nice clear pics, but I get blurry blotchy ones using the web cam center, so that's not so cool.. better live streaming I guess.. got the face tracking and some other stuff to make it easy to adjust horizontally and vertically

umm.. but I am going on here.. get anything, I guess.. the limiting feature isn't the camera but the internet I think

Kind of like this one, don't know why, but it has a talk feature and it's a Sony Very Happy Not cheap, though.

Why do you need their software?

Walk down the aisle and read the specs off the side of the box.

640x480 x 30FPS is nice and won't overload most internet connections.

320x240 x 15 FPS just plain sucks for quality but is fast if you are transmitting to someone on a dial-up connection.

1024x768 x 30 FPS is sweet but will soak up a lot of bandwidth.

How bout it Bum, can you adjust the settings so when I'm camming to Thailand w/ a blazing speed of .5m there won't be a bandwidth problem?

yeah, you can choose the resolution, plus chatting programs let you set them to be optimized for speed/quality. should be no problem.
