I can't follow the links - could you just cut-and-paste the relevant parts?

Very interesting read. Perhaps now since there will be accountability of the teachers for failing to curb bullying, the teachers will be more interested in saving their asses by doing their damn jobs...

It just comes up as gibberish on my computer.

Oh well, bullying thankfully isn't much of an issue at my school.

It's a .pdf: you need adobe reader. Interesting. I hope some apathetic teachers/principals are worried.

You'll be surprised what goes on behind your back and outside of the school.

This could get dangerous for the teachers. If something happens behind the teacher's back...is he/she accountable?

Reminds me of the thread where the Korean teacher slapped a bullying student around for a bit. Looks like he was ahead of the curve. Protecting his ass. Wink

I live on resisdence at my school, in a small town where I can't go anywhere without running into my students. Yes, I know that they're not all as innocent as they initially appear, and that we have a few really bad students, too. But serious violence between students is something extremely rare at my school. In almost two years here the worst I've seen is a pushing match that looked like it was about to degenerate into a real fight before I put an end to it.

Why'd you stop it? I would have lifted my knuckles up off the ground, pulled up a rock and watched a good fight. Sometimes fighting is necessary for adolescents...certainly wouldn't say it was unnatural.
