But if you're not single, still read this, very funny (and sad, and true)

Funny? Not really. One-with-the-cosmos orgasmically satisfying? Yup.

I'd say it was thinly veiled misogyny except it doesn't have the thin veil.

Her look changes just a bit. Something is beginning to sink in. Naturally, she reverts to women's logic.

That story should be posted on the other site that says it all about American women:

So, you see nothing wrong in what this deceitful, greedy bitch of a woman did? She had it coming and it was a beautiful story.

There are people who, when they tell stories about their interactions with others, are always the smartest, cleverest, wittiest person in the room. Their views are always correct and their needs should always come first. And in their stories, they are always the hero, never have anything to learn or improve on. And the other people are merely foils to demonstrate their superiority on. I really wouldn't want to be one of those people. They carry in them a meanness of spirit that is truly depressing.

I guess because I don't see relations with women (or any people, really) as a zero-sum game, I didn't find the story funny or enlightening or positive in any way at all. Stupid and vengeful (against women in general, not just this one) is pretty much how I saw it.

I want my time back.

So, you see nothing wrong in what this deceitful, greedy *beep* of a woman did? She had it coming and it was a beautiful story.

This story is calculated to induce gleeful pleasure in men who feel wronged by women and fantasize about getting revenge on them. I imagine the writer and the people who love it so much didn't get breast fed enough or something. It's almost certainly fake, insofar as it dovetails all too perfectly with certain men's bloated sense of male victimhood.

Have you ever heard the story about the American warship go hails a Canadian over the radio and says that if the Canadian doesn't avert his course he'll get blown up? The canadian replies, "Ok, but this is a lighthouse." This is another amusing but fake story that fits in very nicely with people's notions of american arrogance, stupidity, and bellicosity. If it were true, it would shed light on america, but as it stands, it says more about the teller of the story than the subject.

Now, if this turns out to be a true story, then I have to say this guy is as much of a psychopath as the woman. He spends hundreds of dollars meticulously planning out his revenge when he could've avoided the whole problem by telling her about the vasectomy in the beginning of the relationship when he "heard her biological clock ticking." Of course the woman is 2-bit liar, but the guy got himself in the situation through his own lack of frankness.

Anyways, that's my feelings on it. It's a funny story, but it's bogus and mean-spirited. Woland summed it up better than me.

Men, women and Americans? Maybe you're looking at the story too hard. What it boils down to is a deceitful, selfish ass of a person getting exactly what she deserves. THAT's what I get off on.
