Hey~
So I'm extending my E-2. My school wants me to go solo to immigration and handle it. That's fine with me, but I'm not sure if it will fly with whatever random person is working that day.
Does anyone know if I need someone from my school to come with me to extend my visa? I mean, I can't even get a cell phone contract without a Korean, not too sure about getting a visa extension.
Also, what documents will I need to bring, besides my contract, passport and ARC?
Thanks,
Hubba |

I just went to immigration yesterday by myself to extend my contract.
You will need:
1. Passport
2. Ammendment to contract
3. Company business registration document.
4. Another company issued document showing your sponsorship
5. 30,000 won (I would get a re-entry at the same time so another 50,000 and even if you are American, the re-entry you were issued the first year, no longer applies, so you NEED a new re-entry)
6. An application form which you can pick up down at immi, or find it on their website.
It is a painless process, and if it isn't too busy, can be done in 15 minutes. Get your line number as soon as you walk in, then go get the money stamps that you will need for the application form.
I will double check on the documents needed today once I get into work, but 95 % sure that is it. |
