A few of us just returned for a 5day 4 night trip to Palau.

The flight and hotel was arranged by Hana tours and we did all of our diving thru Sams Dive Operation in Palau. The sea life variety was astounding and having dove in many of the worlds top sights, I can see why Palau always gets top ranks for Wall,Drift diving. The big fish incl. white tip,Grey reef sharks, humphead parrots ,etc was super. and the visibility was easily 40-50 meters!!

During the Spring Hanatours offers an unbelievably cheap nonstop package to Palau for 600,000 Won including the flight and hotel (3 stars).
Prices may increase but if you want a nonstop flight to Divers Paradise (5 hour flight) contact Hanatours.

Do these prices/tours still exist? Can they book on short notice? That sounds extremely cheap. What about the dive costs, renting gear and possibly 6 dives?

I totally agree that Palau is a must see. What's also cool to see there are the sunken warships from WW2.

Sounds like a great deal pricewise. I went there before there were direct flights, and it cost me about 500 just to get to Manila, and then another 450 for a separate flight to Palau on Continental. Now that they have direct flights it's a lot cheaper.

However, a 5 day / 4 night trip is probably just 2 or 3 days of actual diving. It doesn't seem worth it. If you're going all the way to Palau, I would say dive at least 6 or 7 days to get the full value.

Sounds great. I'm commenting for the purpose of coming back to this thread for more info. I tried to scuba dive in the Philippines, but every deal fell through as there were too many overly aggressive touts trying to force scuba services on me and I was a bit turned off. But this deal sounds pretty sweet. Will try it.
