|

Is the pow wow scheduled for next week cancelled? One of the teachers just took my travel expenses away saying that the "trip" is cancelled. How is it cancelled the last school day before the planned date?? The school's not s*#^ing me, is it? |

Apparently the EPIK teachers are still on schedule. It's only the GEPIK teachers who arn't going. I don't mind either way but I wish they told me beforehand....
Where do you work Icicle, if you don't mind my asking? |

I was told it was cancelled for all GEPIK teachers. Also told ten minutes before leaving to go home for the weekend. Gotta love the advance notice! They told me on Wed. that I was going and at 4:20 on Friday that I'm not. Now I have to get some lessons prepared for Monday! |

I'll be looking forward on Monday to hearing disgruntled stories from teachers who made the trek out to Suwon to find out it's been cancelled. Actually..that wouldn't be such a bad thing. You'd get the day off work at least. |

I called Wenise Kim. She told me herself that it is NOT CANCELED.
Wenise told me that it was for all Native Teachers in Gyonggido that arrived in 2007.

Well I definitely did arrive here in 2007, at the end of March, and was told at 4:30 this afternoon that it had been cancelled.
But communication around the whole event has really not been good ... so when I was told it was cancelled it was like nothing was going to suprise me .... I was after I had left that I was very much not happy because I did very much want to go .... even if part of the reason was to actually meet someone else who was doing what I am doing and who spoke fluent English (which I haven't heard in the 7 weeks I have been here) ... And now we either find that it has been cancelled or only cancelled for some people.... I think that would upset me more ... or maybe not even cancelled at all ....
Can anyone else who has been told it has been cancelled please confirm what they were told ... It just might help me work out if I need to go to school in the morning to try and get some straight answers.
