Since a lot of apologists and others like to hack on people on here for being critical, why don't we ask this question:
'Is it possible to be critical of Korea (for example, Dokdo issue, The Sea of Japan issue, Crappy hagwon directors, etc.) while still liking Korea? Does being critical mean hatred? |

Not at all. Criticism is what brings about change in a way, in the long run. Unfortunately for us, Koreans don't really want change, and there-in lies the problemo, companero. |

Agreed. Confusionism (pun intended) is anti change in nature. In the long run things will change when Koreans want them to. I see nothing wrong with criticizing certain governmental policies or the crappy media here. Constructive criticism is good.
I don't think saying "All Koreans are stupid or rude" or things like that is productive or warranted so I don't do that. Simple really. |

Does anybody not complain endlessly about the city where they live and the idiots around them? Why should anything be different moving to Korea? |

Wow. Do you understand the meaning of "long run"? Eventually Koreans will stop eating dogs when they realize:
a) It doesn't taste all that great
b) It is very expensive and there are much better deals on other meats. Especially with all the free trade deals they will have signed.
c) They will realize that it doesn't give stamina.
d) As the Korean standard of living continues to rise, more and more people will get pets as less and less people are having children. Koreans will see the contradiction eventually.
So I think criticism will help somewhat. Koreans are smart people. They'll figure it out eventually. |
