I have 2 weeks of vacation coming up at the end of August. I spent a couple of years in China. I've been to Thailand several times. I'm not going back to Atlanta with it's 100 degree days during August. Anyone have any good recommendations? Thanks in advance. |

Cairns & Far North Queensland in Australia. Whitsundays & GBR. It's winter in Australia in August, & the perfect time of year to visit anywhere north of about Brisbane. Think Key West Fla. in January. |

i have a ten day vacation in the beginning of august. i was planning on going to vietnam, but i've been told the weather is severly hot and the sights are few. i haven't had much time to travel in asia, and i'll be leaving at the end of august. what is a "must-see" destination? i've been to the philippines, beijing, and i'm going to osaka in july.
i'm looking for something cheap and entirely different from korea. |

Thailand would be the obvious answer. Bangkok might be a bit wet, but you can see the sights there and hit the beaches in Koh Samui (it's much drier there in the summer than Phuket). |
