|
|
Because of a recruiter screwup, our new employees are going to be arriving without their visas. I need to book them on a visa run asap, but I don't know if I should book them for 2 days or 3. It's been a looong time since we had to send someone on a visa run...
They will arrive in Fukuoka at 9:15am. Can they get to the consulate in time to get their stuff in, in order to pick up the next day and fly out at about 8:45pm? How often are there problems/delays? They cannot change their ticket, so I want to make sure they have enough time.
What can people tell me about this? I have done a search on the Fukuoka visa thread, but I want up to date info... |

I did a visa run this March. Dropped by five minutes before closing,(3.30),picked it up the next day. If your buddies arrive in the morning, I'd be surprised if they can't pick it up the next morn (10am). This isn't a busy time of year for visa runs. |

Myself and two people I know have all done the run in the last six months - we all got it done in two days. It should be no worries to get it done in two, as long as they're not going around Buddha's birthday. The consulate would be closed that day. |
