|
|
I will leave my current job in one month. I will give up my ARC.
I MAY come back to work next year. Not sure.
Should I get my national pension refund now?
If I collect my national pension refund, does that mean that I cannot come back and work in Korea again? Or is it standard practice to collect the national pension refund between contracts.
Thanks,
Drew |

You can apply for your refund anytime your contract is finished AND you are leaving the country. Remember to apply within the last 30 days of your employment BEFORE you leave. You will need to show your ONE-WAY-Tciket out of Korea.
You CAN return and start a new job at a later date. |

Hmmmmm,
My contract is good until August 30. But the last 10 weeks are vacation, so I am leaving Korea on June 16. I will check and see if I can apply for the Pension Refund explaining about the vacation.
I will come back to Seoul about Sept 15 on a C-3 or regular 30 day entry visa. Could I apply for my Pension Refund then, without my ARC?
Thanks for answering my first and main question. It seems that I should apply for the refund even though I MAY work in the future.
Thanks,

You can apply for your refund any time BUT you will need to show a ONE WAY ticket out of the country when you apply. |

Excellent,
This plane ticket terminates in Bangkok. Looks like I am set. I always get my tickets outside Korea because they are so much cheaper. Seems that worked out just right for me this time.
Thanks,
