A few friends have been talking about going up to Seoul for a lantern festival on Buddha's birthday. Does anyone know where the main celebration is and whether it would be difficult to find accommodation? How big of a holiday is it? Or is it just like any other day... |

The parade is next Sunday May 20th it takes place near Jongno area dowtown. The parade starts from Dongdaemus and finishes up at Jogyesa temple near Insadong. I think parade starts at 7pm but there is crafty stuff to do in the afternoon on the street outside Jogyesa temple. |
