I have the day off Wednesday and was going to shop then. I need the suit by next Monday.

I'm about 42-44 waist, 6'4" tall.

Where should I go to get the suit on time? It does not have to look amazing, but it needs to be decent. I will pay through the nose if I have to - but I'd rather not. But whatevr I gotta do...

I would imagine that you could go to Lotte or any other department store and pick one up, or you could stop by an outlet and find one for 200,000. You're a bit tall though, so that will obviously be a problem. I'm only 6ft, but I have long arms and had a really hard time finding a suit where the arm length went past my wrists.

For your size just go straight to the Tailors...you'll never find something that fits properly off the rack, trust me.

Sam's Tailors
58-12 Itaewon-dong
Telephone 02-794-3033

I've had 5 suits made through them over the years. Very happy with them all.

Bingo. You're a huge dude and you won't find anything you're size in the department stores.

Go to Itaewon or one of the Hotel tailors and get a suit custom-made to fit you perfectly. You'll shell out some money, but you'll look very sharp in a perfectly fitting suit.

Suits are excellent investments for any guy working in Korea.

I have not found a department store or outlet that sells suits, jeans, etc larger than size 40....

the OP is size 42-44 waist, 6'4" tall......

The tailors will mess around with you - and you will end up with a gorky-nerdy looking suit....

go to "BIG BOSS" in Itaewon - for 150,000 you can pick up a size "42~44inch" business suit - immediately - no waiting - try them on - and walk out with it...

while you are there - pick up some other size "42-44" SHIRTS, JEANS, underwear etc etc.......

OH - and yeah - whilst you are in Itaewon - don't even bother stopping at the other stores along the way - they will all try to sell you their "famous" Korean brand "University of Cambridge - but from experience - it is one of the worst quality and style of clothing to buy - just go straight to BIG BOSS and get yourself a decent suit.....

I'm a big dude too--where is "BIG BOSS"? But for only 150,000 won, what is the quality of the suit like?

the opposite side of the street from the Hamilton hotel.....

walk towards the "seoul pub"- walk pass and keep walking towards "subway sandwich shop" - its a couple of shops before the "subway sandwich shop" - (Its on the second floor) so looking up - you will see the sign BIG BOSS written across the second floor on the outside of the building....

I've gotten 3 suits done at Hahn's tailor, and 3 done at 2 other Itaewon tailors, and Hahn's is head and shoulders superior. They don't subcontract their sewing like virtually every other Itaewon tailor does. Price is a little higher, though 3 days shouldn't be a problem.
