Is horeseback riding readily available? Has anyone had any experiences doing this here?
I want to go out and do some horseback riding with a friend, but I don't know what's available.
I've heard Jeju has these kinds of opportunities but I was wondering if anyplace around Seoul (like the horse track near Gwacheon) provided this kind of entertainment. |

During the Seoul festival I took pictures of the horses near the river. A guy there told me they were members of the Seoul Horse Club. |

What kind of horseback riding are you talking about? I'm an equestrain who has over 25 years of experience with horses. If you are talking about pleasure riding out with a friend to see some nice trails, you can pretty much forget that idea. The best you can hope for is English riding lessons from a Korean instructor who speaks little or no English with a nice arean and a decent horse. So, how's your Korean? Best get fairly fluent in Korean before you think about riding horses in Korea.

Jeju is primarly interested in picture taking. Koreans who ride there are basically tourists who have never been on a horse in their entire lives. |
