Details not needed. I know what I want to do!!! I want to leave my current school. I'm 6 months in, and I'm trying to figure out what the best way out is. Do I quit? I'm afraid of not getting a release letter, actually I'm sure they won't give me one. So, do I get myself fired? I have talked to many teachers and that seems to be the best bet. I already have another job waiting for me here in Korea. Any tips or info would be great. Thank you. |

Even if they fire you, they aren't required to give you a release letter. Its best to try to end things well and get a release letter. Even if you ahve to buy it. |

Get yourself fired. In Labor's eyes you are still the good guy trying to adhere to your contract and the boss is the bad guy for breaking it. If you quit the scenario reverses. They don't much help the bad guy. |

Try both. Just when the boss says "You're fired", yell out "I quit."
Videotape it...see later who actually won with slo-mo replays.
Have fun...YouTube it. |

Maybe you can make a good excuse to leave, that doesn't make your boss lose face. Or get fired on good terms somehow. As long as your boss doesn't lose face or resent you, you should get the letter. |
