Looks overcast-might rain. This obviously means call the work crew and get their cans in to work ASAP. In my case, it means hammering and pounding at 5:50AM! It's obvious they are trying to keep the noise level down but it's not working too well. Due to the weather, my windows are open and like I've said, I am literally 10-15 feet from the building they're building. I am guessing the heavy artillery will start around 6:50AM. Oh, what's this? Sounds like a big truck outside. I'll just go take a peek. BRB (insert elevator music here)......... Ahhh, a crane truck with a flatbed. Looks like we're doing some heavy lifting. Anyway, umm, heck, I don't even know what to say...

So, they're building another 4 story low-rise apartment right next to mine. I live in a small residential community not in the main section of the city-a suburb. Problem is, the construction guys are loud as H E double hockey sticks with their chatting at 6:30AM every morning. Then, precisely at 6:50AM comes the even louder sounds of construction. This is literally 10 feet from my window. Aren't there any laws regulating start/stop times for construction? At 6:50AM Sunday morning and they are rolling huge piles of scaffolding framing bars onto the street!! Help me.... Oh no, here comes the circular saw!

no laws. I had construction literally 1 meter outside my apartment window from 6:30 to 11pm 7 days a week for 6 months. All the complaints in the world got nothing changed.

No laws or nobody willing to enforce the laws? I find it almost impossible to believe that no laws pertaining to noise exist. I do, however, believe that the powers that be would not enforce them.

Luckily the construction near me is near my school, not my apt. But those friggin blue trucks, the dude coming over my home announcement speaker, the dude screaming into the microphone at the local supermarket are what drive me nuts. The worst is the SCREAMING announcements that come over my school PA every Monday morning. They stress me out to no end, starting with the mandatory HUH HUH checking of the microphone. Then the military-style yelling at the seven year old children. Shocked

Koreans have no concept of noise. Especially my fuc@ing neighbour who slams his cast iron door twenty times per evening. And the guy going nuts on his whistle at the intersection. And the blaring of computers at the pc bang. And the unnecessary loudness and aggressiveness of Korean car horns. And the blaring radio on my local bus. And the....

ARRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!
