I asked the same question recently, here's the thread with the answers.....

Don't bother going after 11.00am if it's for a visa, they don't let let anybody in ,even before that sometimes.
If you want a visa get it through a travel agent. I wouldn't even bother going to that embassy, the Chinese embassy is a joke |

So can you get one without booking travel from the travel agent? Cos I dont need to organise travel with anyone, thats all sorted. All I need is the visa |

yeah, I got my China visa 2 weeks ago from Soo Yeon Travel just below STA Travel (YMCA Building, 4th floor), 1 min walk from Jonggak station .They specialise in visas ..China visa costs 38k and takes 5 days.......you can get it faster if u pay more I believe. the guy there speaks reasonable English if you want to phone but it's worth going in

Stupid question.
I'm going to the Chinese embassy tomorrow to get my visa. I'll be sure to go early enough in the morning.
I'm wondering if they have one of those photo booths there? I stupidly ran out of passport photos, and I don't really have time to get any more today.
Thanks for any info. |
