and 12-5 is different than 10-3 in what way? 5 hours seems like 5 hours to me. Unless I am reading that wrong. Other than that I am confused as to where you are working? Public school, academy?

So, my school is getting someone to come down from head office to explain to me why they are allowed to change my hours and pay me less. Here is the situation.

I start work at 10 and work until 3. This is my contract hrs for 1.4. for monday to thursday.

Then I teach 2 hrs of after school classes at 25000 and hour and I have worked every Friday from 10-3 which is over time hours too.

they are saying now that I dont have to start until 12 and work to 5 so there is is no over time. They have not yet paid me any of this over time and after two months, I have had enough.

Is it possible to get another visa without a release letter from the school?

I have looked on the sites that other people have told me to look at but am still really confused...i have another school that is going to give me a job but I want to change ASAP

Any advice is thanked in advance

So you took a job that only pays you 1.4 million per month? Shocked

And working 5 hours a day from Mon - Thu.

Working on Friday is considered over-time @ 25,000 won/hour. And teaching 5 hours on Friday.

What you are saying is that they paid you 1.4 million each month for past two months. But they never paid you for the Fridays that you worked as over-time, right?

If this is the case, refuse to work on Fridays until they pay you the money they owe you for over-time.

The E2 visa belongs to the school, you are their captive until its year end expiry date. You need a letter of release and depending on which immigration office and what side of the bed your case handler got out of that morning a representative from your school may need to go with you in person to immi to do the deed.

If your school won't play ball your options are limited. Blackmail or bribery ( seriously ) are about it.

You are really being abused. That much is obvious. We haven't seen your contract, but if they agreed for X won for X hours, with Friday as OT, and after school classes as OT also, then it doesn't really matter WHEN in the day you teach those five hours. They should pay you your 1.4 + after school OT + friday OT as agreed. Does your contract say you are not required to work overtime? If so, I would stop working overtime until they settle your back pay issue and agree to pay you properly in the future.

I'm curious, is English your native language?
I ask because this syntax, "Any advice is thanked in advance", is understandable, but has the structure of a non-English language.
