PolyChronic Time Girl-

Thanks for the info. I'm a guy, but I imagine everything is the same. I should look for the sign that says , right?

Also, can anyone tell me how to ask someone "Where is a jimjibang?" Is correct?

I think yours is pretty much right- it'd work anyway- maybe
  ־?
is slightly more correct.

Quite often whenever you see a (single) spinning barber poll that will be a sauna, if the sign says either 쳪, or then you're in luck. Small hotels (yeogwon=) have the same sign though, and double barber polls are something else entirely- it'll be obvious when you go in if you're in the right place.

One thing to bear in mind is that some smaller places won't have facilities for women.

I finally went to the sauna on Sunday night. I'm definitely a fan. I think it's going to become a weekly affair:)

So do they have family saunas? I would go with my wife and baby, but not in the company of others.

I went once a long time ago. Between my hair, ink, and sumthin' else, it was incredibly uncomfortable.

So can someone explain the concept of the jim jil bang? I mean, do they have private saunas? I think my wife would be into a private sauna like that, but absolutely never a place where there were other people....even attendants present. Hell, I won't even do public....

Funny story. I've never been to a sauna, but I once had a female Korean teacher ask me to meet her at a sauna. She gave me the address and said,"It will be our happy secret." I did not go, and she never spoke to me about anything except work issues until I left that hagwon. So, don't try to tell me it's all innocent fun. Laughing Laughing Razz

In America, saunas are traditionally safehouses for gay sex.

Long time ago. Most were closed down during the early years of HIV, that would be about 1983 or so. There are a few left, so I hear. If you want to get clean find a place run by Japanese people, in major American cities. You'll have to pay about 5 times the admission at a sauna in Korea, though.

I used to go a lot, and loved 'em up, but a few months ago I got molested when sleeping--for the second time, in about 100 visits--and while I blew it off at the time, in retrospect I must confess it scarred me a bit.
I haven't been since. It's all cheap ass hotels now for me.
But yeah, as long as nobody gives you the sweaty fumble when you're passed out, they're awesome. Really good for the skin, and all the boys look at you all jealous-like.

Wow...you are truly a sad man desperation. Sorry man but that was pathetic...you are bragging about your *beep* size and gloating about the fact that Korean men were staring in "envy"... Laughing

So..pray tell...what were you doing except looking out for people looking at your *beep*? Laughing

Did you point to your massive pipe and roar as you thumped your chest? Did you show these 'smaller' men what it was all about...I mean clearly thats what your trip to the sauna was about..confirming you have a bigger tool then they do... Laughing
