Hello,

A while back I asked about running. Since then I noticed on this from talk about a 'letter of release'. In my post 'Can I Run' someone wrote that I could just claim 'family problems' at the airport and get away. But how about this release letter? I wouldn't have that, though I do have a multiple exit-re-entry visa. Will I be okay, if I run unbeknownst to my employer?

If you don't want to work in Korea again, or until after your current contract expires, you have nothing to worry about. Just go.

If you want to run, just leave. No-one will stop you.

Make sure you turn in your ARC when you leave (they won't ask for it because you have a re-entry permit).

You will NOT be able to find another LEGAL job here until your current visa expires if you pull a runner.

IF you quit (run), leave and return without handing in your ARC on the way out they will treat you as though you just went on a holiday and you are still bound to your current employer - in effect commiting visa fraud if you return on the same visa and that CAN get you banned from 2 to 99 years.
