|
|
My brother is getting married in Poland next week. Technically it is noot his marriage as he was married in a civil service 7 years ago. But this is the Church wedding to make the Catholic polish in-laws happy. So it isn't a huge deal or ceremony and I dont need an elaborate gift.
I need to bring him something for their home that is something you can only get from Korea - but not too big since I have limited suitcase room.
Any ideas and where would I get it? |

You won't fit Insadong into your luggage.
Bring a tradtional Korean drum. You should be able to find one in Insadong. A Korean child is also a unique gift. |

You can get them at any range of price you want. I got a hanbok on the cheaper side (but it's nice) for maybe W120,000. It was funny because my Mom shopped for it at a random store in Seoul when my Aunt owns and runs a hanbok shop in Seoul.
Oh and try to get the right size. Obviously this may be hard for you since they are in Poland but grab a friend that has as similar build to whomever you're buying for. The baggy/poofy nature of hanboks softens the need for perfect sizing. |

There is a Korean paper craft called Han-Ji. They make beautiful boxes, chests and other small items. Many times they have a traditional Korean design on they. It would be a lightweight, special item that could only be found in Korea. |
