Just been reading the Scientology homepage for laughs.

If you've ever read any of Kim Il Sung's 'works' or official Biographies, you'll notice an eeiry simmilarity in tone and style in the biography of L Ron on the Scientology site....

Both great examples of a cult of personality.

So are you saying that Kim Il Sung is really L. Ron Hubbard?

Is L. Ron Hubbard dead? I know he went missing.

Wasn't it around the same time that Kim Il Sung had been in extended Hospital care, can you say body swap and plastic surgery?

I mean come on look at that face.

Ha ha. No I'm not saying that. I was just surprised that a modern day, Western organisationwould employ such see through (well not to their members) and ridiculous propaganda techniques to describe their 'leader.'

Don't you people know anything? L Ron Hubbard is living on Venus right now.

This is NOT funny. Stop slandering Scientology or John Travolta and I will sue you. We will also ask Dave Sperling to pull this thread.

If Tom Cruise and John Travolta don't come outta the closet....

I'm gonna cap this b*tch....

But seriously, the hyperbole the Scientologists use when speaking of L Ron and his 'life' and 'achievements' is so over the top... You'd think they'd have the brains to tone it down so it doesn't look so obviously 'cult-esque.'

Please, please, if you want some fun today, click the link and listen to the MP3 files of L ron Hubbard's 'sermons'.

My God the man was a loon! Or perhaps not, I mean he got loads of peoiple to follow him, so must have known what he was doing... But his IDEAS certainly are loony....

I have no personal agenda against or experience of Scientology and only ever read about them for the first time in my life today.

Mand this is some funny listening. I'm actually choosing this over South Park right now during my leson free afternoon....

Here's a real peach: a little off topic, but.

"...it is important to understand that Koreans tend to be emotional people, given to public displays of grief and hysteria. In South Korea...Protestant Christian evangelicals with their emotional confessions have made major inroads; the fastest growing group of all in the South has been the extremely demonstrative Pentecostals, known for 'speaking in tongues.' In North Korea, with proselytizing for other religions forbidden, the promoters of the official faith, Kimilsungism, sought to appeal to that same emotional streak."
Martin, Bradley K. Under the Loving Care of the Heavenly Father. Thomas Dunne Books, New York, 2006.

What I can't figure out is why the Scientologists haven't come to Gangnam yet.

Ah....Scientology...the "fruity little club" that scrambled Chef's brains.

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/entertainment/4836286.stm

I think they faked his death. I saw an eerie video about a North Korean labour camp the other day. I swear I saw Chef cooking corn in the shadows.

Fact: Isaac Hayes (via Tom Cruise jumping on a couch and pulling strings) left South Park, in response to the South Park's depiction of Scientology.

Fact: Chef was killed because of this.

Fact: If you ridicule the Juche Idea, Kim Il Sung or Kim Jong Il you will be sent to a labor camp where you will die.

Coincidence?

Wasn't it Hubbard who said "The fastest way to make a million is to start your own religion" ?

How do people get taken in by frauds like that?
