I'm leaving in a matter of weeks. The excitement is settling in.

I'm going to be living with one of the guys who recruited me, in a shared furnished apartment in Anyang. I thought I was going to be living in Uiwang, but I got placed in a different school than originally predicted so it shall be Anyang. Closer to Seoul I suppose, which is a plus.

What are the typical shared accomodations in this area like? How much space am I looking at?

I don't really care to be honest. All I need is a bed, a door, and a window. Still, I'm curious as to what differences I should expect in proportions. I lived in a basement room for a year when I was a student; it was 10x15ft with no window and pipes running across the ceiling about five feet off the ground. I can handle anything, but a nice space would be preferred Razz

In my opinion, a place could be huge, and having a roommate will make it feel like a closet. I just can't handle roommates. My home is the one place where I can feel peace.

I'm not a people person, but I've always had room mates for monetary reasons and I've always made out okay. Just so long as I have my own room, all is well.
