| What are some shops you have gone to on Rodeo St? I am planning on coming over soon and I want to know what kind of shopping I can look forward to. |

Rodeo street is Seoul's Fifth Avenue for kids. Lots of small boutiques selling cutsie items for 300% of what they should cost.
Rodeo street is located in Apujeong, an area full of spoiled rotten rich kids who love to squander daddy's money.
That said, it's an amusing place to visit. Apujeong is said to have the most beautiful girls in Seoul. A nice place to stroll and take in all the eye candy, but not a good place to shop. |

Why would you want to go shopping on Rodeo Street? or, why is that the only place you're asking about?
It's way overpriced - you can by a pair of Diesel jeans for $450 or so....
Most of the shops have tshirts for $80 or so....what kind of stuff are you looking for?
This isn't Japan or Thailand or....wherever. People don't come to Korea looking for to the shopping....
However, you will be here in time for the rainy season, so that's something to look forward to....  |

| There's another Rodeo Street in Mokdong as well. It has a lot of outlet stores like Polo, Calvin Klein, etc. The prices aren't that bad. It isn't Thailand either like was said earlier. |

You name me just ONE place they don't go expressly for skiing, golfing and shopping (and documenting all this fun too). Anyplace on earth, name it. And I like that this kid's 1st post on Dave's is this one. That says more than typed words can say.  |

Seems like every gu, or small town for that matter has a rodeo street. Nothing special about them.
Itaewon seems to be the original Rodeo type market. |

| not actually my first post, but it is one of my first. I just heard from my Korean roommate it was a good place to go shopping and people watch, but apparently not. |

I suggest you check out Myeongdong or Dongdaemun night shopping sometime. Perhaps catch a flight to Tokyo or Osaka and ask the Japanese people next to you what they were doing in Seoul. |

Yeah really. If you spend any time in Myeongdong it's pretty hard to think Japanese (mostly young women) don't come to Seoul in big numbers for shopping. I'm sure they go in large numbers to China as well. But they're not exactly giving Myeongdong a pass. |

LOL, Cheongju City has also stolen this American name.
