How ya doin'

I figured I'd do a spinoff of the "How much do you read" thread. How many games do you play during the week? How many games do you have on the go now? How many games do you purchase at a time? I got about 3 PS2 games, 2 PS1 games and an N64 game on the go these days. So what do you have on the burner?

I don't play video games as much as I used to. Been pretty busy as of late. My sister keeps trying to get me to play World of Warcraft because she's awesome at it and wants to whip me. Got one of those 10 day trial accounts and thought about upgrading, but $20/month for the whole 4 hours I'd probably play one Sunday afternoon hardly seems worth it.

I've got a PS2 and a few games for it that I'd like to play, but they're just too long, like Final Fantasy 12. I play them for about 10 hours or so, then get busy, come back to play it 3 or 4 weeks later and can't remember anything about the game and have to start all over again to refresh my mind about how to play the game...repeat.

I've also got a DS which is alright. I can play the simple little games on that like the New Mario with the little mini games. It's kinda fun to bring to work and challenge co-workers with from time to time. The whack-a-mole game is fun for that. But those days are few and far between.

Maybe I have responsibilities or something now that keep me from video games?

NO!

^^

XboX 360 on a 40-inch PAVV HDTV with 6 speaker Dolby Prologic surround sound. I don't **** around.

Guitar Hero II rocks my world. If you ever have a chance, check this game out. Easily the most fun I've had on any console. The set list is awesome and the controller rocks.

Multiplayer terrorist hunts on Rainbow 6: Vegas (XboX Live) rock as well.

I probably play on average 5 or 6 hours a week.

And yes, I have a girlfriend. Very Happy

Well, the Korean girls are probably used to video game nerds. Since many Korean guys play video games during every waking hour if they are university students. Some Korean university students play video games 5 hours a day.

I used to play a hell of a lot of video games. Hell, I went to Singapore in 2001 partly to see how good the local talent was at KoF. Also checked out the skills in KoF while in Hong Kong, another fighting game hotbed.

But I only play one game nowadays. Got RotK 3 on the emulator. It's the ONLY emulated game I have. I tend to play the hell out of one game until I finally get bored with it. I used to try to play in the arcades here a few years back, since the games are so damn cheap at like 100 won a pop, but the controls are seriously broken as hell, so I kind of got sick of it. Korean gamers are complete asshats in fighting games as well, bar none the country with the cheapest players I've ever seen.

Mm, well I was playing WoW pretty steadily until it A: got boring and B: crap happened with my bank account back home, effectively canceling my subscription. Honestly, I haven't missed it. As great as The Burning Crusade expansion has been for soloing, once you hit level 70, you are once again at the cross roads of hardcore raiding or pvp. Hardcore raiding sucks balls in TBC. The 25 group instances have ruined a lot of guilds and killed the sense of "big things happening". Having raids where every person counts is fine, but it also broke up a lot of perfectly fine guilds also. Also, they haven't added any content in over 4 months.

I'm thinking about buying a Nintendo DS, but something always comes up, like a trip, or crazy weekend. On the list of priorities, I'd rather have those than the New Mario Brothers; however, I *do* want the new mario brothers.

I've got a modded xbox which I played during my first year here. I haven't touched it in over a year though.

I usually play War Rock, the online FPS similar to Counter Strike. It cuts into my productivity and I should really play it less and study Korean more.

I'm 185 cm and I'm a cut 82 Kg. One of my personal rules is that for every hour I spend playing games, I spend two at the gym.

*gasp* Someone resorting to cliched stereotypes because they're not intelligent enough to make an actual witty comment. I'm shocked!

You're right. Somebody spending the entire game doing overprioritized jump CDs or jab A is something I can't hack. I'd rather get my ass handed to me wholesale by someone who can play well rather than chump changed by a know-nothing hasbeen abusing his favorite button. But anyways...

I played '97 through 2K, but kind of lost interest after that. Never could get into Tekken, though I did try.
