Our school's Principal is a big-time Buddhist, so he's giving us Friday off. How about yer school?

I get Thursday off. I told my coteacher that in the states they
would move it to Friday for a three day weekend and
she seemed surprised.

Are you getting Friday instead of Thursday or both days off?

I got both days off. My neighbor at a middle school doesn't.

Seems to me most Elementary schools have the Friday off too. Middle and high school teachers in my officetel only have thursday off.

Both days, it is a weclcome break. It seems we have had a lot fewer holidays and special events where classes are cancelled this semester compared to last.
