Does anyone know if benzodiazepines (ie. valium) are included in the drug screening process?
How would I find out this information?
I assume the drug check is just for THC, stimulants and opiates? |

I don't have any firsthand knowledge, but I doubt valium is included in the tox screen (assuming there even is one). Plus, valium is legal here and may be prescribed by a doctor. Of course, there is no way to "find out" without asking directly and giving yourself away.
If you are truly worried, get a prescription from a doctor (or forge one from the U.S.) to cover you butt. I wouldn't worry about it.
Just to put your mind at ease, I had a full blood work done for my physical. I was definitely worried, because I had a medical card to use cannibus in California, and I had only arrived one day before. However, apparently no check was done.
Probably, you'll have to pee on a stick. Just dip in water. No problems. Don't stress over the valium. |

For my public schol medical exam, I peed on a litmus strip. Don't know what it tested, but I doubt one little litmus has a full spectrum. It might have even just been measuring PH or blood sugar or something innocuous. They don't want you croaking on the job. |

Is that all the medical test is - a drug test? |

Hey, dudes, do like, you know, recreational drugs show up on this thing? Do they KNOW? Can they fry you for it? I was, like, at this party, eh, and like everyone else was doing it, so I have have accidently snorted some powder, and like smoked some stuff. Not sure what it was. It was my first time, ever, I swear.
Oh, and Dave's not here. |

Great advice. Encourage illegal activity, then tell him to dip his stick in water. Do you think Korea is so backwards that their tests can't decipher water from piss? |

I have to ask: Is your public school giving you a test when you come to Korea or are you in Korea now?
You could STOP using drugs at an adequate time before your physical...just an idea. |

They check for THC and amphetamines. Urine and blood, no biggie.
I got jumped by narcs once in Mokdong. Back at my apt they gave me the THC and amphetamines strip tests (urine). Then they bought me 3 bottles of wine.
I mentioned this incident on another post somewhere. Coworker of mine got busted and they jumped everyone whose number was on her phone. Scary times. |
