Anyone have a source for the good stuff? I'm not talking about the junk they sell at Emart. I'm looking for the good stuff. I heard that the Buddhist monks make the best stuff because of the way they prepare it by boiling it 9 times over packed inside of bamboo chutes. (sp?)

Anyway, for those not in the know...purple bamboo salt (the good stuff) has properties that prevent cancer and healing powers that are supposed to be really good for treating other diseases including, but not limited to dementia and other aging diseases.

I read a paper about a year ago titled: Effects of Purple Bamboo Salt on Antioxidant Activity and ROS Inhibition in Human Astrocyte U373MG Cells but I can't give you any hard data because I really don't remember what it was talking about other than it's good for you Razz

So if any of you yahoos knows where to buy the good stuff, I'd like to know where you get it. I want to start taking it (pill form) so I can heal my cancer.

Very Happy

Hmm... I didn't know that; if you find a tip on getting the Buddhist stuff, please post it. It'd make a much better "Korea oriented" gift than the crap in Insadong I usually buy.

My director told me that I'd be meeting the woman who wrote that paper in a few months when she returns to Korea from Sweden. She's working at Karolinska Institutet right now. Can't wait to meet her, she sounds like a really interesting person. I heard she knows the Buddihst monks who make the good stuff. Razz
