Trying to get a feel of how long it takes to get a Visa Issuance number. My recruiter suggested my employer (a large reputable chain) can get a number in 2 business days. I'm wondering how likely this is to happen.
Remember, the poll is about the Issuance Number, not the Visa itself. |

Everytime I have applied for an visa issuance number it has come in 5-7 business days. Never as it come earlier than 5, sometimes, during rush seasons, ie March and August, it has taken up to 8 business days. It is not out of the realm of possibility that your prospective employer is greasing hands at immigration. But in the 50+ times I have applied for numbers, this is how long it took me to get them. |

How is it possible that you have applied 50+ times? Are you a serial jobhopper who has been in Korea since the 80s?? |

The numbers weren't for me. I am the foreign manager of a hagwon that has 25 foreign teachers, and I have had to apply for Visa issuance numbers for them. |

Ah, gotcha. I guess the odds of me getting it in 2 business days are slim to none. It has been 1 full business day so far (assuming the docs have actually been submitted. All i know is they have arrived) |

For the record, I am now being told my number will come in 5 or 6 business days, just like everyone else. |
