I was browsing in the school's office today, and overheard one of the staff conducting a phone interview with a potential teacher.

Staff personnel, resume in hand...

I have to ask this question. This won't be held against you with regards to hiring you. Are you bisexual or homosexual in any way? ... You're straight? ... Well, okay ... Well if you're homosexual you'll have to keep it quiet here.

Wow that's pretty bad. No discrimination there!!!!!

I've always had the 'how tall are you' question but nothing that severe. Jesus... Shocked

Back in good ole' 2002 I had two weird ones:

1. After sending a faxed photo I got a two line email- "you look black. please explain." CLASSY.

2. Another was from the wife of the director who after noting that I was "handsome" (cough), emphasized numerous times that she was married so I "shouldn't even think about flirting with her."

On an unrelated note: The Firefox browser spell-checker keeps wanting to change the name Itaewon to tapeworm. Fitting.
