I live in Ansan, close to Gojan station. Ansan is an OK place to live, but, the pollution sucks. It is a little over an hour subway ride to Itaewon, or Songtan. Jungang is the nightlife area in Ansan.

I am in Ansan until the end of July, when my contract is up. I am looking for a job that starts in August.

I used to live there. My accommodation was in Sagnoksu next to a junk yard. The town itself is modern enough but there isn't much to do.

The bartenders didn't even know what a screw driver was. The air is more polluted than Seoul; it also takes around 1 hour to get to Seoul.

I would classify the people living in Ansan as Korean rednecks.

It depends on where you live. My area (near handaeup) is really green, and I find the pollution not too bad compared with Seoul. There are a good number of foreigners here. It is a long commute to Seoul, but Ansan is served by multiple subway stops.

I know this isn't the right forum, but I am currently looking for a job in Ansan starting early August.
