|

Hey,
Just a quick question to see if anyone knows. I walked around the market for a while looking for this stuff. Man, that place is huge. I did find a place with a stair case going down saying "imported goods". Is that where I can find the the protein powder? Unfortunately, I was there on Sunday and it was locked up. Thanks for any input. |

I heard they have a few GNC's, but it's expensive. I would have someone ship it too you. |

Yes, that's right. It's never open on Sundays. The guy with the biggest stall selling that kind of stuff is at 011 736 9705, and his English is pretty good (or 02 774 5713). If you go down the staircase ramp he will be at the bottom of the ramp, on the right. He has the most stuff of anyone.
If you're from outside Seoul and buy big tubs of protein, etc. he can ship it to where you live by tekbeh which arrives the next day, usually. So you don't have to haul it home on the bus, subway, etc. And anything else you want to throw into the box, besides what you buy from him. You can then spend time in Seoul unencumbered by heavy shopping baggage.

Yea, this is the reason I went to Namdaemun. I bought some at GNC a while back and it was friggin expensive. That place is a rip-off. |

Thanks Captain Kirk! I figured that had to be the place. Lord knows, I looked just about everywhere else. I do live outside of Seoul so I'll probably discuss delivery options. Am I right in assuming they're open all day Saturday? Thanks again. |

It sounds like you're talking about the right place. The place I go to (which sounds the same) is just across the street from the actual gate (NamDaeMun) and take a hard right once inside the market area.
It is downstairs. There are two that I've found inside.
1. Take a left once down the stairs (along the long side of the building) and keep walking. It's on the right.
2. Once you find the first guy, you can take a right and walk for a few aisles, you'll find another guy down the right after about 3-5 aisles. That guy is cool, he sells the big tub (5lbs) for 42 000W, but let me get him down to 40 000.
Hope this helps,
BT. |

Thanks BT........Even though I got a little lost in that maze , it sounds like we're talking about the same place. Man, 40,000 for a 5lb tub is definitely a great deal. |

It's just past the men selling fruit and the old lady selling leaves. |

You should look at www.mass119.com - its cheap, has great products and delivery is prompt. You may need a Korean to help you order, but its worth the effort. |
