I think it's a safe bet that in the season finale, a certain amount of death will be distrubuted, both among the Survivors and the Others. Who's gonna get it?
I say Charlie and Jin...
and Locke. But he'll be back next season. Part of Locke's ongoing process of killing off his past will be an actual, physical death.
Sun and Claire will be rescued; their rescue may end up getting Naomi off the island as well.
I think Desmond is on his way out, but I can't decide whether he'll die heroically or be rescued...the major theme in Desmond's life is "running away"...what will he do when he has the chance to get off the island? Which direction will he run, and will he be running towards something or away from it? |

Yeah, they'll resurrect him like Gandalf. He'll become "Locke the thick-haired". |

The island can cure paraplegia but not baldness? |

That was always my issue with Star Trek. I figure you'd have to come up with a baldness cure before warp drive, no? Seems the natural order. But then I realized a) the universe is run by men, for our pleasure b) you never see an ugly woman in Star Trek. So clearly they never came up with a baldness cure but they found a cure for ugly chicks. So who needs a full head of hair when space is babe central? |

I've just returned to Korea and broadband to catch up on season 3.
I'm glad someone finally got around to asking the others the obvious questions.... ie Who the f*ck are you guys, and what the hell are you doing.
One question. Now that there's a lot of others and survivors interaction and we get to see both sides... where the hell are Michael and Walt? Did I miss something? |

Sounds like you missed the entire second season!
I'd tell you what happened to Mike and Walt, but I'd consider watching the relevant episodes if you can, it'll be much more satisfying. |

Last I saw of Michael was when he led Jack, Kate, Hurley and Sawyer to the Others, was revealed as being a traitor, and from that point on nothing was said about him or Walt. The dog's still kicking around though. |

Ben gave them coordinates to follow to get back to the 'real world'... they sailed off...
I'm guessing that they'll show up briefly in the finale.. most likely at the very end... perhaps saved by Naomi's ship? |

I agree with a little o that.
My 11th hour predictions....
Naomi is associated with Dharma. She's helping them to recapture the island. Mikhail knew she was coming episodes ago.
She will be killed. It can't go any other way.
"Walt" is on the island. He will help Locke. Locke will kill Naomi to keep the island safe.
Jack will kill Ben. The most violent others will be killed.
SPOILER......
BIG SPOILER!!!!!
Really. You've been warned.
They transmit a message. Jack and Kate get off the island. That is pretty certain because Kate was on the Regis show.
In the middle of the interview, Regis asked her "it must be nice to be off the island", (speaking about coming to New York)
Her jaw DROPS. She thought he was still talking about the show.
