Yeah..I noticed that too. I was expecting her to morph into a really fat, ugly chick, instead of the same attractive, thin girl that she always 'pretended' to be. |

Probably the main reason is just if she morphed into a fat chick we'd seen before, some of the dumber viewers might not make the connection.
I just finished reading the last of the Heroes graphic novels. They kill off Hana Gitelman in a lame and useless way, just in search of a MacGuffin. |

Whisky-Tango-Foxtrot??? I have no idea what you are talking about...
As for dumbing down a series for the mass audience, that just really pisses me off. Fercrissake, how much more "intelligent" do the writers think they are? What an incredible let down. |

Along with the show, they've been releasing online comics in PDF format. Some of the comics add interesting little bits of insight into the show. Hana Gitelman, although she only appeared in one or two episodes of the show helping Ted Sprague, was one of the main characters in the comics. You get to see other interesting parts, like DL escaping from jail, Micah messing over a school bully, Sylar doing some more hunting, and also Linderman meeting the Petrellis' father during the Vietnam War.

I second this... I hope she goes out in a blaze of glory. Nikky/Jessica snd DL have fulfilled their roles by killing Linderman, Micca has arranged for Nathan's election... roles done, kill them off. |
Umm... I likes lookin' at it. d 'boy c'n be us'ful wit de 'lectronics. mophin'tru tings is not bad... but dey stories is borin'. Nikki might be more fun now'n she's all stitch't t'gether..
the final episode SUCKED. I don't think they could have scripted a worse confrontation with Sylar had they held a nation-wide contest along the lines of that worst opening sentence for a novel thing they do:
Quote: |
T'was a lame and meager fight scene, yet they, constrained as they were by the black on white/white engulfing black violence that was the script before them, and dangling from the broken motifs, truncated story lines, excruciating attempts at sincerity.... much like puppets manipulated by tangled, frayed and broken wires... did robotically engage one another in fake and finessed fisticuffs and mutilations; but it was we who bled. |

As others have mentioned, I was also scratching my head as to why Peter didn't just fly off by himself. Or, why didn't the cheerleader just shoot him knowing his death would only be temporary. I think they could have solved both of these problems if Claire had shot him, but he continued to glow though weakened enough to make a solo flight impossible or too difficult to get away far enough fast enough. Then Nathan grabbing him and flying off might have made more sense.
Also, not sure why Sylar can stop speeding bullets but not a small, charging Japanese man with a sword. |

Another question, why didn't they just grab the Haitian and bring him over? Where'd he disappear off to anyway? |

The only time I remember him dying is in the future episode when Suresh gives him the injection. The fact he's in that episode seems to mean he's still alive, and since that future won't happen now we have no reason to think he's dead. |

Nice little twist at the end. I didn't think that Nathan would end up being a martyr. The whole Peter travel back in time dream sequence didn't work for me. I thought it was weak and unnecessary. I know he got the time travel power from Hiro, but it was a wasted sequence. |
I don't think that sequence was time travel at all. When Hiro time travels, he can interact with anyone at that time but Peter couldn't do that except with Charles. I think Charles was using his power to talk to Peter. There's another sequence like that in an earlier episode, I think. I thought it was sappy what he said though... "You have heart....blah blah blah..." I just thought "Huh? Peter's a care bear now??"
I was really hoping some characters would die. Especially Sylar and Matt...
And for those complaining about how things didn't happen the way it was laid out by Issac, that was the point of that episode. The future isn't set in stone, blah, blah, blah....
I enjoyed the episode but it wasn't a fantastic as I had hoped it would be.
Can't wait for volume 2! |
