Hey, my g/f and I just got to Bucheon the other day. We are both teaching at public schools so there are no other foreign teachers at our schools. We are hoping to meet some other foreign english teachers and maybe they can show us the ropes of this city!

try checking out a bar behind Hyundae Department store called Canada Buddy. It's got great food and they have trivia nights and live music. Not open on Mondays though...I think.

Bucheon is a pretty big area. Most of us are around SangDong, which is closest to Songnae station. What station are you closest to? Cheers!

There are foreigners in Bucheon. I haven't met any yet but not through the fault of anyone. I live pretty much right near Songnae Station. It's called San dong? Hmm. For some reason I thought that area was a bit further from the station. Learn something new every day.

Sang Dong starts about 2-3 blocks away from Songnae, headed towards Homeplus, but Songnae is the CLOSEST subway station. Around Songnae is Jung-Dong, that big main street that tunnels under Songnae is Jung-Dong Daero.

yeah I am right near the Songae station, I can see it from my apartment. I am on Jungjongdaero street in an apartment that says Acrotel on the top of it. Nice place. Anyways if anyone is in my area wants to meet up with my girlfriend and I and show us a good place to eat or something that would be cool. We know like 5 Korea words right now and are pretty much hanging on by the seats of our pants. Anyways thanks for responding...

well I think Karin and I are gonna go to the Canada Buddy tomorrow night and celebrate surviving our first week. Hopefully those of you who messaged will be there! We are the tall white couple who will probably look lost.
