Just saw this. Six dead, over 100 wounded. Apparently done at the bus stop in front of the mall. I know the place and have shopped there.

The government has already identified the bomber and it seems to be connected to the PKK (thugs!), not to the on-going secularism debate in the country.

This will complicate things for the US and Turkey, as it will push up pressure for Turkey to intervene in northern Iraq. I don't think the Turks will, as the current government has more sense than that. But it will ratchet things up in Turkey and should lead to Turkish demands that the US do more about the PKK bases in northern Iraq.

The place that was bombed was a fairly conservative, working class, lower middle class neighborhood. Those people really didn't deserve this.
