Hello, a few questions for you helpful folks-
I'll be in Korea this summer studying (I'm not there yet). I have a break from school July 21-29 and would like to go to Taiwan during that time. Will it be horrible to find tickets for that week, or does the Korean traveling madness begin the week of the 29th?
1) Anyone else going to Taiwan this summer? How much did you spend for airfare?
2) Which travel agencies in Seoul/websites should I try? Like I said, I'm not in Korea to talk to travel agents yet, but will try to get my travel plans lined up soon after arriving in Korea on June 6.
3) If tickets to Taiwan are too expensive I may look into traveling to the Chinese mainland to Qingdao or Dalian instead. Does anyone know if this would be significantly cheaper?
Thanks for the help! |

It is not that expensive. I paid 400,000 last August. I recommend going to Taipei first and then heading down south to Kenting where the beaches are beautiful. Be prepared for some funky smelling food though. |

Not too expensive...was there last July.
You could always email agents here in advance. I've never actually arranged a flight here any other way. That way you can make a reservation in advance at least.
IMO mainland China would be more interesting, although the Taiwanese are more friendly. |
