UPDATE: See the third message in this thead

I'm on an E2 visa.

I have a second job in the morning now- my principal signed the consent form, I brought it to Immigration and paid the fee, and the second school is printed on the back of my card.

Recently I've had 2 new employment opportunities at other schools. Consent forms won't be a problem, as my principal has expressed his willingness to consent to as many jobs as I care to do (provided they don't interfere with my job at his school).

My concern is with Immigration- will they let me get 4 jobs? There is room of course on the back of my card, and I figure that's what all that space is for, but a recruiter told me 3 jobs is the maximum. Is she right?[/b]

They want your school schedules for a reason. They will typically let you work up to a full 40 hours per week total.

Here is the update:

I finally made it down to Immigration today (Mokdong) to apply for two more workplaces. I was told that I am not allowed four workplaces, no matter what the hours or salaries are, and even if I have consent forms.
The maximum for E2 visa holders is:
- one primary workplace
- two secondary workplaces

Since I already have one secondary workplace, and want to apply for two more, I had to quit one, before I even had a chance to start.
I asked why this rule is in place, and I was told it's "immigration law". I further inquired "I see that, but why is it immigration law?"
He said, and I quote, "I don't know".

I'm quite upset about this, but I'm writing this as a heads-up to anyone else looking for several jobs, not to rant.

So glad I have an F-2-1 visa. Don't have to worry about this kind of crap from imm. office.

I just had a secondary workplace added to my ARC. The immi guys sure don't make it easy.

My boss called ahead to ask what we needed.
We brought that stuff, but the guy decided we needed something else.

It takes an hour for us to get to the immi office, so we had to wait till the next day to come back.

Next day, different guy. Guy doesn't like what we have and thinks some paper doesn't LOOK official enough. Wants us to redo it so it LOOKS more official.

Go back the next day for the THIRD TIME!

Different guy again. He wonders why the other guys didn't accept it. Then he decides there's some other minor problem. My boss explained some simple logic to him and finally he approved it.

4 people, 4 different heads up a$$es.

so if your boss doesn't want to help you out with this, you'll understand why.

way to go immi, way to encourage doing things the illegal way.

Why I am happy that I get to go to Jogno immigration.... I've also been so many times that I've figured out which girl knows all the rules and doesn't ask for extra stuff so I try to see her, even if it means waiting a bit longer....

Those working at more than one location, are you working for a public school, the government, or hagwons? I'm under the impression, from immigration, that you can't work for more than one hakwon, even if it is owned by the same person.
