How many students do you have per class? How much does your academy charge for tuition and how many times a week do you teach each class (and for how long)? Main classes only. Not OT.

I'll exlude any OT classes or my adult classes at the hagwon on T/Th.

I teach elementary M to F and middle school (1st and 2nd) MWF.

Here goes:

Elementary (MTWTF)
2:30: E - 10 students
3:30: E - 11
4:30: E - 8
5:30: E - 9

Middle School (MWF)
6:30: 6 students
8:00: 6

That's a total of 50 students right now. Each class pays 150,000/month. I only see middle schoolers MWF (3 times/wk), but elementary is every day. Yes, they pay the same.

I didn't include my adult class on T/Th from 7:30 to 9. Right now this class has 3 students, but 2 are on hiatus. They come and go depending on their jobs. Maximum then is 5. Can only count it as 3 right now and they pay 120,000/month (I think).

My 2:30 elementary class is split into 2:30 and 6:30 on T/Th and I teach 3rd years (only 2 girls) MWFs from 9 to 9:30. These classes give me 2.5 hrs OT/week (half an hour a day). All my class are 50 minutes except for my adults (75 minutes total, but I give them a little more) and the 3rd year middle school one (25 minutes). So yes, an hour is 50 minutes and a half hour is 25.

Anyway, we'll stick with the average main classes. 50 students divided by 6 classes. Paying 150,000 each/month. This is for 2/3 of their classes there. So they're paying 100,000 each for me.

What about you?

I'm currently looking, but in my last job I had fourteen classes, one with 6 students, the rest 8-12. I averaged about 120 a month and they paid 220,000 won per month. Half with me, and half with a Korean teacher.

How many hours a week did each student get all together (with you and the Korean teacher)? You had 14 classes, but was that every day? Each class being a half hour? Or were MWF different than TTh?

Every day? A five hour long class? 2 hour class? What do they pay for tuition? Is it elementary or what?

I teach both classes on Monday-Wednesday-Friday and only the five-hour one on Tuesday-Thursday.

ALL kindy. 9 is maximum per class. Am short one in the afternoon.

The first class' students pay over 800,000 won a month each for tuition. No idea about the afternoon one.

Kindy is 5-6 per class. It's 2 classes- we switch for different "subjects."
Afternoon is 8-12 per class. Every seat is taken until my last two classes which are almost full.
Tuition is 220,000 for MWF/TTh and 330,000 for M-F. I have no idea about kindy, but I think it's at least 600,000.

What can I say? I'm popular. Wink

I saw my students twice a week. MW, MF, WF, T TH. I had four classes that I taught screen to once a week, but since they weren't in my regular classes I didn't count them.

There is one class that bossman charges 219,000 Korean Won per month and there are 12-15 students in that class.
