Why is it that almost 100% of Koreans that know the English for the game think the order is Rock, Scissors, Paper?

I always remember it being rock, paper, scissors.

I search Google for "Rock scissors paper" and the first result confirms what I already knew (but was beginning to question), that the order is indeed: Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Is this perhaps an English, Australian, or some other English speaking country that is not America, word order?

The Korea word order goes Scissors, Rock, Paper (I think, I know the first one is Gawi - scissors). So this doesn't explain the discrepancy.

It might be because it has a nicer ring to it when said in that order in Korean.

And what about that fourth option: bomb? Doesn't that destroy everything but scissors? Can't remember. I was more in the "One potato" era.

No lies - in my country it was 'Ching Chong Cha' - I wish I was making this *beep* up, but I'm not.

Yeah I pulled out the bomb on my kids the other day, then probably beat them at arm wrestling just to boost my ego a bit more. I've always known it as rock, paper, scissors, but all my kids know it as rock, scissors, paper. Not sure why, but it always solves any dispute or problems in the classroom.

....................Rock..........Paper........Scissors........Bomb

Rock..............tie...............P................R................B

Paper.............P................tie..............S.................P

Scissors..........R................S..............tie................S

Bomb.............B................P...............S.................tie

Although it is a bit senseless; the paper covers the bomb's fuse. However, it is clear that the bomb blows up the rock and the scissors cuts the fuse.

Pleas don't pull out the bomb on your students, even if they are hateful little vermin.

How is paper supposed to defeat rock anyway? Paper covers rock, so? Rock is fine, he doesn't mind a bit of paper. How about dynamite blows up rock? Scissors could defeat dynamite, as long as it's Wyle E Coyote* dynamite, by cutting the wick before it explodes.

*Note: I am not an expert on dynamite, but know the Acme Company.

Rock scissors dynamite. That's what it should be. I guess for the dynamite sign you just point the index finger upward.
