So I'm going home for summer vacation. Isn't there a GST rebate you can get at customs or something. Technically we are not citizens of Canada so everything we buy shoudl be GST free. Can't remember how this tax law works. Anyone know how this works? |

Save your receipts. Pick up a form at the airport. Mail the receipts back in the envelope with the form filled out. They send you a check. |

You are still a citizen, you are just not a resident. Unless you have renounced your citizenship. |

you can only get the GST back on purchases over 50.00 (before taxes) and you'll need to have filed for non residency with revenue canada first.

I looked into it a while back and decided it wasn't worth the hassle for 7% |
