Just let me site some of the bizzaro binaries you've got going on here:

You hated the rich white kids at your school because they called you "chink".

But it's okay for you to call Westerners pansys because we DON'T let our teachers beat students.

You blame the RAMPANT sex trade in Korea on America and Japan, but you don't realize that only counts for maybe 150 years of a 5,000 year history.

We've corrupted your kids with media that is %90-95 Korean made and based.

Wife beating is an individual problem, whereas teachers wacking students is the way it ought to be...

Anything else to add, I'm sure I forgetting something in there.

Good looks for being persistant though; like a rabid dog without teeth. Rolling Eyes

Wife beating? Hey *beep* my father never put a hand on my mother. Neither did my grand father nor my uncle. I never beat girls either. Don't put that *beep* on all Koreans. There are few who get into it which is none of your concern in the first place cause you are just a foreign engrish teacher trying to make money from wife beaters. Rolling Eyes

There's 1 way of putting it. I never said sex trade was because of Japan and America. Now you just like putting *beep* in people's mouth to your advantage. Typical rabid dog behavior without teeth.

Not just rich white kids. Blacks and whites mostly. They even tried to rob me and even pull a gun on me. Spanish was cool to me mostly except 1 time this Latino guy stole my stereo out of my car and took him to court and never got my stereo equipment back. Don't you just love Western judicial system?

Actually, your post said rich white kids; I was using your words...

And about wifebeat *BEEP* here's the first google search about Spousal abuse in South Korea:Women

Violence against women remained a problem, and some women's rights groups maintain that such violence, including spousal abuse, has worsened with the 1997 to 1998 decline of the economy. The Ministry of Gender Equality, established during the year to oversee issues related to women's rights and welfare, indicated that the number of cases of spousal abuse appears to be increasing because more women are coming forward to report abuse.

http://www.state.gov/g/drl/rls/hrrpt/2001/eap/8336.htm

Remember your a pansy if you don't beat children/students. Now if you don't beat girls, what do you do to students who are girls when they act badly?

Punish them. there are ways of doing this. Tell them to hold their hand high for the remaining of the class. if not tell her she's going to have stay after class. make her feel embarrassed, etc... Rolling Eyes

I have a friend that grew up in Korea until he was in the the fourth grade then his parents moved him to a western country. My friend was very popular in Korea because he studied hard and had a good personality. His parents continued to raise him with their traditional Korean values of studying hard everyday and respecting the rules and customs they were taught in Korea even after they moved.

The problem was, in this western country the values and traditions were very different from Korea. My friend's parents didn't really do much research into the values of the new society they chose to live in and chastized their son when he adopted the new customs of his new environment.

My friend never really fit in with the western kids because he wasn't good at sports and didn't have any knowledge about the one sport that everyone in his new country were fanatical about. He found it difficult to socialize with people and when the westerners would break the ice with a little good-natured ribbing, calling him a, "China-man," he took it personal and missed the opportunity to show them that he was easy going and deserving of their respect.

Although he would need these norms and values to survive and become a functioning member of his new society, his mother told him that there was nothing wrong with him and that it was the westerners that were the problem.

Luckily, my friend decided to go to back to school later in life and study a different subject, one that he really enjoyed. He decided to change his outlook on life and study up on the culture of the country he lived in. He became interested in the sport everyone was fanatical about, and discovered how to poke fun at people without meaning it in a negative way. He made lots of new friends and eventually married a native from that country. When they had children, he taught them the traditional ways of Korea and instilled in them a sense of pride, but made sure to teach them the ways of his new country so that they could be happy and succesful in their environment.

ONe thing I was really good at was sports. White guys would come up to me and say why don't you join the football team or wrestling team because I was compact, strong, and fast. You have to separate home from outside. That's what I learned. Pretty popular all through out school. I wasn't in that white clicka or anything but I was invited to all their parties etc all while my parents were strict and traditional. One thing that makes me upset is the older generations of America. They are really xenophobic and mentally *beep* up in the head and treat non-whites like a caged up nigga.

Okay, I want to repeat that Korean Americans are some of the MOST freaky people I have ever met in my entire lifetime.

Damulgun, you got some serious issues! And if you don't like America, if you don't like Americans, just get out. Hit the road! Don't look back! Just make sure you turn in your passport before you leave and deny your citizenship. Go back to Korea and don't speak another word of English again for the rest of your life. We sure as heck will NOT be missing you!

I have to wonder why just when damulgun's mood lifted someone came along to put him down again. Was that good-natured ribbing vicissitude?

Here's something I really hate. I have to take a sh-t right now, and the only non-squatter toilet of the entire school is being used. There's also no toilet paper. And our bathrooms reek because native-Koreans apparently don't like flushing TP down the toilet.

I will not use a squatter. I tried once but I thought I was going to poo on my pants. I also feel ridiculous in that position.

This is where my American sensibilities get in the way. Even though I'm Korean, I really don't get the toilet culture. Also, why isn't the friggin toilet paper next to the toilet?

Because the TP has been distributed to more important places like desks, car dashtops, shelves, and the teacher's lounge.

Ah, the joy of living less than a two-minute walk from school.

When white society of America runs around and makes a scenario after scenario to figure out my sexuality and stalking me to get with me it seems. Unsolicited spying and lie to my friends and family to make drama with my life for 10 years and tell me it's part of American Assimilation. YES I got issues with your pink species. Confused This happened a big portion of my life and I have scars to prove it.

I would leave America in a heart beat if my family wasn't all living here. I've asked my family to leave but they will not leave at this time. What they need to see is something horrific than what had happened to me before they leave.

Damalgun,

Hey man - as a fellow Korean, I am offended by your rhetoric. Your views are heavily skewed and your making other KA's look bad.

Get off it dude.

Mr. Damulgun, I think you need to work on your English writing skills. Did you really go to America when you were only 9 years old? You drop too many articles at the wrong times. Also, you should know what expressions would be considered racist or not.

Umm what I said about damulgun's mood lifting was wrong. Calling the older generations of America *f'd* mentally is not exactly light-hearted or respectful. I hadn't read the post properly.

Are you actually teaching English in Korea damulgun?

It's hypocritical to slam Americans for not understanding Korean culture when you say terrible things about American culture. For what reason did your father bring you to America? Did it work out, do you respect his decision?

If you are not teaching English in Korea I think you should come here and broaden your experience, like the OP did.
