So my friend was considering a job where all she got was 400,000 ( key money paid for) for an apartment . It would be in the Jogno- 4 area I believe.
Is it possible to get an apartment for this much?? what about any crazy maintainance fees and bills.....

is it better to just try and find something where apartment is provided??

thanks!

it's a job for YBM.... ( how is YBM by the way)

also is it possible to negotiate salary with YBM if 400,000 isn't deemed enough>>

You can get an apartment here for 300 a month. Depends on the area.

Around Seodeamun should be no problem for that much.

Maintenance fees be damned, the school takes no responsibility for any kind of utility.

gas is the most expencive utility, ive heard a case of a person paying 1000,000 won because of a leaking gas line.

seoulman1 makes a good point. Be sure that all prior utility bills (phone, electric, gas, etc) are paid in full before you move in. Also find the nearest locksmith and CHANGE YOUR LOCK!!! It's less than 100,000 (I think nearer to 50,000 but it's been a long time since I've had to change mine) and it's money well spent!
