I'm in Fukuoka right now visiting some friends, and would like to bring back some excellent Suginoya micro-brew. I'm thinking of 4 regular-sized bottles, not the big ones. I'm guessing they're around 300ml each, give or take. Anyway, does anyone know if this is acceptable? I've read that we can have 2 bottles of wine or spirits but it doesn't specifically mention beer. Your help is appreciated. |

By law, you're allowed 1 litre of liquor and 1 carton of cigs. From Japan, I always bring back about a half dozen big cans of beer, though. Last time I went to China I brought back a case of beer. Nobody even batted an eyelash. Just avoid making eye contact with the customs inspector when you leave Incheon and have the ubiquitous plastic duty free bag in full view. Worse case, they make you pay duty and give you a hard time. It's only beer, not hard liquor or drugs. |
