Hi all,
I'm trying to do some research about jobs and came across the U.S. Embassy's little guide to teaching in Korea.
They mentioned editing/pr/media jobs:
EDITING/PR/MEDIA
Quite a few public relations and advertising companies in Korea hire foreigners to work as copy editors, and occasionally as teachers. These positions are very hard to obtain as they are quite popular with the resident English-teaching community. There are also opportunities to appear on television programs, movies and radio. Most of these positions pay quite well and some provide housing assistance.
Anyone know how to come across one of these jobs?
I'm a working journalist with five + years of experience, so something like this would be perfect for me.
Thanks.

I know it says 'Qustion and Answer" when you click on this from the main page, but it is actually the travel forum. I don't know why that is. You'll get a lot more responses if you post on the Korea job-related or general discussion forums. |

full-time positions in korean publishing companies require decent korean language skills.
editing jobs appear every once and while for the english language newpapers, arirang tv, foreign publishers, etc. where korean language is not necessary.
good luck with your search. |

Most of these jobs are word of mouth. I've always found the best thing to do is make friends with Korean translators. They'll find work for you.
