I'm supposed to be leaving in a week for Korea. I just applied for my Visa and I assume the second I get my passport back my employer will look into getting me plane tickets.
However, there was a contingency I haven't even prepared for that someone just brought up (a friend in Seoul). They said that there is a delay sometimes leaving Korea, where you'd have to wait an extra month or so for a vacancy. I was wondering if this is the same going into Korea.
My school is under the impression that they can buy me tickets the night before I'm supposed to leave.

I don't know how it is from Canada but it"s relatively easy from the USA. My wife went to visit last May and had no trouble. The best flights from the US east coast are Korean Air...non stop to Incheon. |

I hope you're right. I know one of the other teachers at the school left the same time of year last year as I'm leaving this year, but instead of flying out of Canada he went through the US.
I don't want to wait three months to go. I've already been waiting awhile. |

Being from Halifax, you might have to expect to travel through the States. And you will have many stop-overs. It shouldn't be a problem getting a ticket though. It is high season, and the fares are up there, even more so, considering where you are coming from. |
