There's a Nonghyup bank right next to my school and once a month I would go there to pay my bills. So yesterday I went there and the bank people told me that I'm not allowed to pay bills there anymore. I have to go to a bank where I have an account.

I always went there on my lunch break so every time I've gone to the bank, there has been no line. Needless to say, I was kinda irritated. I went in there today and opened an account with 1000 won. I can't wait for my next bill so I can go in there and try to pay it. I'm sure it'll go something like this:

BANK: "Sorry, you have to pay your bills at the bank you have an account at."
(pkang0202 throws down the tongjang on the counter with the money to pay the bills)
ME: "I DO have an account here (under breath I say "biyaaatch!)."

Bank looks at tongjang while I'm doing a mini endzone dance in the middle of the bank. Bills paid, problem solved.

I don't bother with clerks anymore. I just use the machine. If they have bill paying machine use it. Saves stress. I don't have anyone panicking and running and stuttering cuz the wayguk has come in.

I damn near caused a riot with people trying to find something else to do other than deal with me. God love em. They just can't get used the fact I HAVE BANKED HERE FOR 6 YEARS! I used to get pissed but now I just wander in and watch people almost completely disappear in my path. Then just use the machine and hear the collective sigh of relief...disaster averted...the wayguk is using the machine.

i tried. They told me the machine was only for Nonghyup customers.

The first few times I used the machine, the "security" guy would come over to help me only to find that I was already finished. It took him about a month to realise that I didn't need help using it and he could continue staring at the SK girl by the front door.

The guy who handles international transfers is always checking my visa expiry date, and puzzling over the meaning of the words "Multiple Entry Visa." I think he wants me deported.

I just thought of something that might help.

If there's a bar code on your bills, you can apparently bring them to a convenience store like MiniStop and pay it there.

If there isn't, but you know the account number and bank that you're supposed to send the money to, you can do a money transfer at any ATM.

I could do mine online with Nongyup.

It was easy enough to setup.

Downloaded some security keys for internet explorer. Some sort of firewall software as well.

Saved the key (stupidly on my HDD not my USB).

I have since reinstalled windows and have no idea how to access my banking anymore.

I'm a creature of comfort, so I give my bills and money to the cute admin girl and let her pay it for me. I reward her with some chocolate or treats every once and a while. It's really great when it's cold in the winter and i dont have to walk outside.
