Please helpme! My work colleague keeps attacking me. It started when I was late one day and among other insults she asked me if I had some form of autism. Then she called me stupid 3 times in front of our manager and said I wasn't qualified to teach. then the next day she attacked me again and recipricated her conclusion of me being stupid, even tho I have 3 A-level and a degree and even an amoeba has a level of intelligence. then today she told me I wasn't allowed to discipline students by lecturing them in a stern voice and told me I was psycholigically unstable. she said she couldn't work with me and if my director didn't fire me when she arranged for him to do so tommorow she would quit.

She is making my life hell. She has stopped talking to me, which is probably a blessing. There is only me and her here so there only her to worry about. But even if I don't get fired tommrow she is f**king with my head and shaking my self confidence. Can anyone offer any advice? Should I stick it out or should I just quit?

Should someone like this be allowed to teach? If I tolerate this, what else will be next?

Is she an FT? If she is, find out where she lives and smear some baby oil (or semsame oil) on the front doorstep of her apartment. With some luck she will break her wrist and you could retain some sanity for at least a couple of days. She reminds me of someone I myself used to work with at one point. If she is Korean, I can't help you with that, but I or others can think of something good soon.

Set up a meeting between you, her, and the director.

"I just want to know why she is giving me a hard time. I want to bring this out in the open. I'm doing the best I can, etc."

Then anytime you're alone with her, tell her to stop fkn' with you and to go fk herself.

Tell her you like to hide in people's closets. People that verbally attack you. Everytime you head your separate ways after work say, "See you in your closet!"

Not everyone wants to be your friend. You may have to actually yell back at her. Blow up one time. Slam your fist. Make her fear your temper.

If that doesn't work then get the boss involved.

But It's so unprofessional in front of the kids. They don't want to hear us arguing. It messes with their heads. But I may have a chat with her when we're on our own. Cos when the manager's around she just gets wound up more. The manager is a man and She's a KT btw. And thanks for the baby oil idea I would love to have a ground hog day in order to do that!

I may have to get the director involved. Frankly i'm scared to go to work tommorow. She's f**king nuts!

i taught with a crazy old korean cat lady who insisted on blatantly talking about me in korean really loudly to the other korean teachers while i was sitting in the staff room

i never did anything about it but i wish i had, people who bully you at work only do it cos they are confident that you won't make a thing out of it, it's always better to stand up to bullies

How's her English? When you go to the doctor, do you tell him what to do?

You're the subject matter expert. What she's doing is a very offensive thing in Korean culture. You're her superior in Korean society. In the world. Tell her that. Get a meeting with her and your boss and make this statement. Tell them that you're very offended.

This actually is probably a situation where you should keep a cooler head, but I can see where it might escalate to yelling. Even when/if you have a meeting with them. No shame in yelling if it just gets out of control.

Tell you boss you can't work with her. Tell them that it's her or you and to make the decision snappy. You like to teach in a stress free environment and this stupid fk is just too distracting.

if it really isn't possible to sort it out with her as adults, then go to your boss and explain that

with stuff like this having a fight is stupid cos you might lose the fight even though you are in the right
