I lived outside Medford (Sam's Valley), went to school there until the third grade (early '70s.)......

Can't believe that people continue to keep moving into that area, seemed like it was full and overflowing when I took a trip back there in the eighties...

Why, when ah moved intuh those parts way back in nineteen-ought-eightynine - they was some right fine open spaces just a hoppen a skip outa town....

Into the early nineties you could occasionally see elk grazing near the airport and the new shopping center. Now they are all gone, along with the orchards and such along Highway 62. But every era is someone's good-old-days.....

Yes, Autzen Stadium. Saw the Grateful Dead there.
Is it true it was one of the few stadiums to let the hoard fans camp out in the parking lot for the 3 day show?

oh this is an old thread and I didn't realize it.

Born in Oregon, raised in Portland, college in Portland, etc.

I just got back and I am so incredibly happy.

I stepped out of the parking garage elevator and said "it SMELLS like Oregon!!'

(PS- what's wrong with housing prices in places like Medford/Redmond/Bend/Klamath Falls/Ashland is that Californians are moving in. It's just that they're willing to pay more for housing-- it's cheap for them. Unfortunately that sucks for regular workers in the areas who aren't buying second homes or retiring. My brother and sister in law live in K Falls and over the last 4 years the value of their home has gone up about 40k. In Klamath Falls!)
